For the LORD is good. Period.
Whenever you might be tempted to think otherwise, remember Psalm 100:5...For the Lord is good.
It's easy, when bad times come, to think "if God is really good, then He wouldn't have allowed this to happen." But God's goodness has nothing to do with living in a world dealing with the consequences of sin.
God's goodness is surrounding us as we go through these tough times...Psalm 34:18, "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
God's goodness promises us a good outcome from all of life's events, Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God."
God's goodness drives His desire for all men to come to the salvation that He offers, and His patience with us comes from His absolute goodness, 2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance."
It is easy to doubt God's goodness, but we shouldn't. God's goodness was the driving force behind His plan of salvation for us, and His goodness drove Him to offer His Son as the sacrifice for our sins so that we can come into relationship with Him. John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
For the LORD is good!
Yes, He is! Don't buy into Satan's ploy of trying to convince us that our troubles come from a less than absolutely good God.
For the LORD is good, and is completely worthy of our trust! Sing it out - shout it out - LIVE it out!

Our Faith in God gives Him the power to comfort our hearts. He has for so many, many years and He will continue. His Word is everlasting, through all time. God's goodness supports us and gives us reason to live through His Word. God will always exist. We are living because of His creation of this world. It is God's goodness that heals the pain we experience in this sinful world. He will always watch over His children.
I downloaded your two songs you previously mentioned and have quietly listen to their words of praise each day this past week. We must Praise God and never doubt is goodness and love.
