Day 1 - Week 79 - What a verse for the coming week!

Another wonderful night of Bible study with a wonderful group of ladies.  It is such a blessing to study God's Word with women who you know are both seeking a greater knowledge of God, and who truly love each other.

We have spent two weeks on Romans 1:16-17...do you have them down?

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is God's power for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek.  For in it God's righteousness is revealed from faith to faith, just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith."

What great assurance these verses should give us...God has provided for all to be saved through faith in His plan.

I praise God for who He is...He is over all.  By Him all things were created and all things were created for His glory.  Including me.  I desire to glorify Him every day I remain on this earth, and then I look forward to glorifying Him in His presence for eternity!  That is the day I see through faith.

Let's review where we've been and then let's add this week's wonderful verse of assurance!

Romans 15:13 "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit."
James 1:2 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds."

1 Thessalonians 5:16 "Rejoice always."
1 Thessalonians 5:17 "Pray constantly."
1 Thessalonians 5:18 "Give thanks in everything, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

Faith: Trusting God and Resting in His Word (12)
Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God's gift."
Ephesians 2:9 "Not by works, so that no one can boast."
Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."
Colossians 3:15 "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful."
Colossians 3:16 "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God."
Colossians 3:17 "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is God's power for salvation to everyone who believe, to the Jew first and also to the Greek."
Romans 1:17 "For in it God's righteousness is revealed from faith to faith, just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith."

Our next verse?  Back to the book of Psalms...
"When I am afraid, I will trust in You."  Psalm 56:3

Can you get any more direct than that?  Do you have fears?  The past month has confronted me with many times of fear and anxiety.  What is my answer?  I will trust in God.  Why?  Because He loves me...because He knows me...because He has provided for me in the best possible way, He has given me life through Christ.  I will trust in Him.  He is working on my behalf and He is Victory.

When I am afraid, I will trust in You.  Thank You, God, for being totally and absolutely trustworthy.

My trust in my faith - in my belief of God's existence and the truth of His Word and the Power of His creation. I missed last night so I could go to a cousin's volleyball game. My family here on earth comfort me. And my family of friends, especially those I have come to know through the great Women of Faith Biblestudy. But, God is the only one that can bring me total comfort and the truth of eternal life. I trust the Word of God that is spoken to me through the Bible and through the Holy Spirit.
