This past week's verse is one that really did stick...I think I've got Proverbs 1:7 firmly in my heart...as I said, maybe it should have been our very first verse since it's instruction is so very foundational. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction."
Now time to move on...we're on the second half of the trail...it will go quickly, the second half always does! What is our vantage point where we are today? Look at this beautiful view...it's the spot right between Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the Delaware Water Gap. Isn't that a site to behold?
It makes you realize that no matter how great the trip has been so far, there is always something amazing just ahead...God is ready to always show us something new and beautiful when we keep our eyes open, along with our hearts!
So let's look back, and then let's see what God is ready to show us today!
Obedience (10)
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people who are called by My name humble themselves, pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
Lamentations 3:40 Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord.
Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern the good, pleasing and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:11 Do not lack diligence; be fervent in spirit; serve the Lord.
Romans 12:12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in affliction, be persistent in prayer.
Romans 12:18 If possible, on your part, live at peace with everyone.
2 Corinthians 9:7 Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Hebrews 10:25 "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." (NKJV)
Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction."
And our last verse in our section of Obedience...we stay in the book of Proverbs for another nugget of God's wisdom:
Proverbs 15:1 "A gentle answer turns away anger, but a harsh word stirs up wrath."
That's a great verse to wrap up a section...and a great verse to add to our hearts.

Another great verse from God, teaching us all along the way. Harsh words do stir descent. As I am learning in James, our Lord wants us to slow to anger. Seek God's Will in our times of conflict with others. Relate to them with love and respect. Do unto others as we would want them to do, "treat", us.
